In 2014, The school celebrated its 100th anniversary with many activities involving current students, alumni, staff, and the community. The school opened in 1914 with 194 girls and quickly became a top high school. The original buildings at Hazel bank Road and the Pacific Highway were expanded but became too small and outdated by the 1980s, leading to years of requests for better facilities.

The campaign succeeded when the government closed Crows Nest Boys High and moved the girls to the renovated boys’ school site. In December 1993, the school relocated, allowing for more students and new subjects. The school has a large collection of historical items, including rare pieces. Many of these items are displayed in the heritage rooms, showing the school’s history over the last century.
